Oat Dosa

Ingredient :

Oatmeal (or powdered Oat flakes) - 1/2 bowl
Rice flour - 2 tbsp
Semolina - 1 tbsp
Curd - 2 tbsp
Pepper powder - to taste
Salt - to taste
Oil- to make the dosa

Method :

  1. Take one bowl and mix all the ingredient in water in order to make smooth dosa batter.
  2.  Keep the batter for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the Dosa pan and apply oil on it. 
  4. Pour the dosa batter by big laddle (or small bowl) and spread the batter thinely over the pan.
  5. Allow dosa to cook from one side once it started to remove the edges of the pan flip it on other side.
  6. Cook dosa from another side too.
  7. Serve dosa hot with chutney or sause

Cabbage soup

Ingredients :

Chopped cabbage - 1 bowl
Green bell pepper - 2 tbsp (chopped finely)
Carrot - 1 small
Onion - 1 small
Tomato - 1 small
Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
Ginger paste - 1/2 tbsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds
Pepper powder
Salt

Method :

  1. Chop the carrot, onion, tomato into small pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pot and crackle the cumin seeds. Add chopped onion and saute it till gets tender.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste in saute for seconds then add chopped tomato. Cook the tomato till it becomes soft.
  4. Now add cabbage, carrot and bell pepper . Add pepper powder and salt as per your taste and mix it properly. Cover the pot with lid and allow the mixture to cook.
  5. Once the mixture get half cooked add water as per requirement.
  6. Allow the soup to boil. Once the vegetables in the soup get cooked properly turn off the gas.
  7. Soup is ready to serve to your toddler.
  8. You can serve the soup as it is or can serve with rice or noodles

High protein cakes

RECIPE :


Ingredient :


Almonds - 1 cup
Ground nut - 1 cup
Sesame - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1 3/4 cup
Butter/ Ghee - 1/2 tbsp

Method :

  1. Roast the sesame seeds lightly and allow them to cool down.
  2. Meanwhile roast the ground nuts and allow them to cool down
  3. Crush the sesame seed in mixer coarsely. Do not crush sesame seeds finely.
  4. Peel the roasted ground nuts and crush them into a coarse powder.
  5. Make the powder of almonds too.
  6. Now grease the plate with butter/ ghee.
  7. Add jaggery in a pan and heat it till it melts completely.
  8. As soon as jaggery melt completely turn off the gas and add sesame, ground nut and almond powder in it.
  9. Mix the mixture properly and pour it in butter greased plate. 
  10. Make the batter flat by patting with greased hands or greased small flat bowl.
  11. Now cut the flat cake in small pieces and remove it once mixture cools down
  12. Your high protein cakes are ready to eat.
  13. You can store these cakes for one month in air tight container.

Cabbage Paratha



RECIPE :

Ingredients :
Cabbage - 3/4 cup (grated0
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Gram flour - 2 tbsp
Cumin seed powder - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
Ajowan seeds (Ova)- 1/2 tbsp
Termeric powder 
Chilli powder (optional)
Salt
Oil

Method :

  1. Add wheat flour, corn flour , Gram flour,  Turmeric powder, cumin seed powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds, ajowan seeds, chili powder, salt to cabbage and knead the soft dough by using small amount of water if needed.
  2.  Taste the dough and add little bit of salt if required.
  3.  Divide the dough in small balls and roll the paratha by using little bit of wheat flour.
  4. Heat the girdle and roast the  paratha from both sides.
  5. While roasting you can apply little bit of oil on paratha.
  6. Serve this paratha with curd , raita or sauce.

Tomato Soup

Ingredients :

Tomatoes - 2 nos.
Rice flour - 1/2 tbsp (Can use all purpose flour too)
Cummin seed - 1/4 tsp
Oil / Butter - 1/2 tbsp
Asafoetida (Hing) - a pinch
Pepper powder
Oregano (Optional)
Salt
Sugar

Method :

  1. Boil the tomatoes till it gets tender.
  2. Peel off the tomatoes skin and blend it in blender with rice flour.
  3. Sieve the tomato puree to sepaate the seeds.
  4. Heat the oil/butter in pan , crackle the cummin seed and add asafoetida .
  5. Add tomato puree and add water as per your requirement of soup thickness.
  6. Add salt, sugar, pepper powder as per your taste. 
  7. Serve the tomato soup by seasoning with Oregano.
