Daliya (Cracked wheat) kheer

Daliya i.e cracked wheat is very nutritional and high on fiber.
For sweet recipes, instead of sugar you can use honey, dry dates powder ,banana or other fruits as a sweetener.


RECIPE :


Ingrdient :
Daliya - 1/4 cup
Jaggery (Gul) - 1/4 cup or less
Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Cardamom powder
Ghee


Method :
1.  Heat the pressure cooker and add 1 tbl spoon ghee.
2. Add Daliya and roast it till white spots appear on it.
3. Add water and pressure cook the Daliya.
4. Wait till pressure gets released. Take out the cooked Daliya from cooker and blend it in mixer. (Tip 1)
5. Heat the pan add blend Daliya, milk and Jaggery in it. Boil for 2-3 minute till it gets thick.
6. Add cardamom powder and cook for minute and remove from heat.
7. serve Daliya hot with ghee


Tips :
1. You can directly make kheer without blending the daliya.
2. You can add freshly grated coconut for elder kids.
