As vermicelli is made of wheat it is rich in dietary fibres and carbohydrates.
RECIPE :
Ingredients :
Shevai (Vermicelli) - 1/2 cup
Tomato - half (peeled and copped)
Garlic - 3 nos (Chopped in tiny pieces )
Cumin seed/powder - 1/2 tbl spoon
Hot water - 1 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 + 1/2 tbl spoon
Salt
Method :
1. Heat 1/2 tbl spoon oil in pan and add shevai(Vermicelli).
2. Roast the shevai (Vermicelli) till light brown in color.
3. Take out the vermicelli from the pan. Add 1 tbsp oil into the pan.
4. Temper the cumin seed/ powder. Add Garlic and saute.
5. Add tomato and cook till it becomes soft and mushy.
6.Add roasted shevai and saute for minute.
7. Add 3/4 cup water and salt to taste. bring it to boil and cook till shevai get properly cooked.
8. Add remaining water as per requirement.
Tips :
1. I have added more water to prepare it semisolid. You can add water as per your and your baby's requirement.
2. Instead of oil you can use ghee too.
