Shevai (Vermicelli) kheer

As vermicelli is made of wheat it is rich in dietary fibres and carbohydrates.


RECIPE :


Ingredients :
Shevai (Vermicelli) - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2 cups
Sugar - 3 tbl spoon
Ghee - 1 tbl spoon


Method :
1. Heat the pan , add ghee and allow it to melt.
2. Add shevai to the pan and roast till it becomes light brown. keep stirring so it wont burn.
3. Add 1 1/2 cup milk, sugar add bring it to boil on medium flame.
4. Stir occasionally. If kheer gets more thick add some milk from remaining half cup milk. (Tip 1)
5. Cook it still shevai gets cooked properly.


Tips :
1. Shevai kheer becomes more thick as it cool down.
2. You can add raisins , almond slices for elders.
